Friday(24th nov)
woke up at 6am. got ready, then left for sch. reached there around 7.35am. had a briefing at LT1, collected walkie talkies and went to stations for the open house. my station was at the heritage room. dickson, jerry, kali and me switched to channel four(channel five was the official channel) and started having private convos... haha... then, the first group of parents came. forgot my speech halfway through... had to make up a bit... was damn nervous. haha... after that, when the other groups came, it was ok liao, cos i had memorized the speech again... haha... was sweating like nobody's business.... wearing a blazer in open air sure is hot.. haha... anw, in between the groups, me and dickson were playing blackhawk down on the walkie talkies... haha... was like "black hawk down! we have a blackhawk down!" "under heavy fire!" "immediate extraction required!" "reinforcements are on their way!" "RPG!!"... haha.... was damn funny... we even had the sound effects... haha... later, at about 1pm, there was a band performance, and axel was being crazy and dancing all over... haha... after that, we went back to the LT for AAR(after action review)... slept a bit through the debriefing... heheh... was damn tired... only had about 3 hours of sleep the last night. after the debriefing, took 31 with axel and dickson back home. reached home at about 3pm. used com for a while, then packed bag for confirmation camp later... at about 5.50pm, left with daddy for church. about 17 of us went. alexander, alexandria, jessica, angeline, sarah, rachel, venassa, lester, jonas, matthew, dominic, gabriel, anson, marianne, kathlyn, clement and me... in the night i did a short entry in my notebook...

1.25am. bored. others playing asshole taiti. wanna sleep soon. very tired. camp started at 6pm. came at about 6.10pm. left home at 5.50pm with daddy to take mrt to church. met mummy on the way. she drove us there. haha. came here, played icebreakers like pass the message(message something like: I went to Orchard to get my sis a pair of red heels, guitar lessons for my brother, a funky yellow belt for dad, a pair of new dentures for grandad, chicken rice for mum, and a facial appointment for sweet old granma, and on the way back, I stopped at Starbucks to buy myself an ice-blended vanilla mocha) and a game something like treasure hunt( the list was: a 20cm long hair, 2 curly leg hairs, 1 white hair, 1 red underwear, 1 metallic watch, a 5cent coin, a pair of smelly socks, 2 dry leaves and a pair of spectacles and there's also another item... i cant rmbr...).... we were split into 2 groups... i was the leader of the 2nd group. at about 6.40pm, had dinner. after dinner, we continued with the lessons, incorporated into some games. the game was about discipleship, where one guy had to blindfold him/herself and another guy had to lead the way. everybody else had to distract the other group. lesson was that there are many distractions around us, and that we should listen to the one inside of us, though sometimes it is not easy... after that, had a short break, then went back for the second session. some number game. lesson was about working in groups and that in life, we should always acknowledge the people that help us along the journey of life... at 10.45pm, went to 7-11 with the rest to get some food. bought hersheys cookies and cream chocolate and a chocolate and coffee drink. ate along the way back to church. started playing when we reached back. now bore liao... haha.

anw, after that entry, played a bit, heart attack and taiti.... went to sleep at around 3am.

Saturday(25th nov)
woke up at 5.55am. the girls woke us up, even before my alarm went off... gabriel and lester said that i snored... haha... i didnt know that... i usually do not snore... haha... went to the toilet with lester where we bathed and brushed teeth. at 6.30am, went for morning mass. finished at 7am. had breakfast, then packed our stuff and left for changi. reached changi beach at about 9.30am. pitched tents, then had free time till 11am... we walked about a bit, exploring the place and finsing for bicycle shop... haha... but in the end couldnt find. so lazed around and played taiti till 11am. for the third session, we had to build a sand castle with a moat that had a constant water supply... group one built quite a nice castle, but didn't really had a constant water supply cos they built their castle to high on the beach and far from the sea. my group, however, built our castle near the sea, and dug a moat. and had an island with the castle on it. however, the island was crumblig and we were struggling to keep it standing. in the end, we had to take a quick picture with it and let the waves wash it away... haha... lesson was that we have to know the source before setting out... if, like group one, we had a strong foundation, but stagnant water, our water(faith) would soon dry up. however, if, like group two, we had a huge amount of water going in and out, but our foundation was weak, we would soon collapse. at about 11.40am, we walked to changi village to have lunch. had nasi lemak and sugar cane juice there. aunty daphne paid for us. walked back to campsite after lunch. rested a while, then played around. supposed to be volleyball, but nobody was very keen to play, so changed to captain's ball. we guys and gals played first. group 1 vs group 2. we narrowly lost. group one won 10-9. haha. after that, we played against the tchrs. was quite fun. we won. the tchrs said that our teamwork was quite coordinated and stuff... haha... cant rmbr the score. haha... after the games, it was damn windy and started to drizzle. our tents were almost being blown away, so we fastened our pegs and added new guylines. the girls' tents was almost flat on the group... haha... the wind was that strong. after getting the tents back to stable condition, went with dominic and gabriel to bathe. was damn hot and sticky. came back, then had fourth session at 4pm. we were all given cups and one person was given a spoon of salt. our objective was to spread the salt among all of us so that all of us had salty water. lesson was that we must spread our faith and stuff like that. finished at 4.40pm. was bored, rmbr-ed that i saw a bicycle shop in changi village, so went with venassa, gabriel and lester to rent bikes. was 2 bucks per hour. so we got 4 and started riding around. was damn fun. we rode past our campsite and explored the other side, till a construction site blocked our way. went quite near the airport. then, as we still had about 20 mins left, we went past changi village and went down near the aloha resorts... rode back, then started to cycle around changi viallge. returned the bike at about 5.55pm. walked back to camp site with a pain in a sensitive area. lester too... haha... the bike seats were so hard and is not shaped for a guy's butt. reached campsite at 6pm. started to have a bbq. halfway through the bbq, a family came and told us that they had booked that spot. found out that we had set up camp at wrong spot. haha.. but as we already ahd pitched our tents, we staill stayed there, but moved our pit and made a portable one. first we went to the beach to have the bbq, but they said cannot, so went back further to an empty bench to continue it. sat on the beach and ate. we ate in candlelight... so romantic... haha... was chatting with aunty frances( alexandria's mum) and lester and dominic.... topic turned to james bond and about how pierce brosnan was the best one... haha... after the bbq, we had the 5th session. the catechists were affirming us and reminiscing with us about when we first joined cathe class and stuff... after that, we took a walk along the beach, to a sand bar at the supposedly quietest part of changi beach. was stargazing and plane watching... haha... it was quite nice... loved that spot. we walked back after that. reached back at about 10pm. wanted to go bathe and brush teeth, but in the end only brushed teeth, cos got pple hogging the toilet and there was a long queue... went back, then started to play taiti on the beach using torchlight and candles... haha... at about 12am, went back to the tent to lie down a bit. next thing i knew, when i opened my eyes, it was 7am. haha...

Sunday(26th nov)
woke up at 8am, cos at 7am, saw the time, then rolled over and fell asleep again. found that everybody was packing liao, so went to bathe and brush teeth, then came back and packed up... left the campsite about 9am. went to changi village again to eat breakfast. had roti prata there. aunty daphne paid for us again. after breakfast, about 9.50am, we took the same bus as yesterday to the catholic church of the holy trinity. reached there early at 10.10am... mass starts at 11am. so waited on the bus at a nearby parking lot... at about 10.45am, went in, saw martin chew, ricardo and kenneth. was freezing in there. was cold. haha. after mass, went straight to the bus then went back to st mike's church. had a short break for lunch and toilets, then went in to the room for the sixth and last session. was a game about a grid, and we all had to go through it by the correct path. if we stepped on the wrong square, our tchr would ring a bell. lesson was that in life, there are many choices and crossroads that we face. if we went to a wrong path, we have to go back and try again. when we finally reached the end, we had to go bath along the same path and lead the whole group through the same path again. this was to show that once we had foound the right path, we would have to show other ppl the right way and help them through it... after the game, the tchrs put a piece of paper on our backs and we were supposed to write on each other our affirmations... when we finished, we had the prize giving for the winner group, as throughout the camp, there was a point system. group 2 won. we got some chocolates. group 1 also got some chocolates. after that, had a cake for venassa's birthday, we all ate the cake then said goobye. mummy and daddy picked me up on the way to fetch the dog to the animal hospital cos of his eye. they dropped me off home and left again. now listening to music and wishing that the camp lasted longer. IT WAS FUN FUN FUN!

we-ell... i suppose today was quite ok... woke up in the morning at around 8.30am... got ready at 9.20am, left house at 9.40am. waited at the mrt station for dickso's train to come, then took the same train as him. reached city hall mrt at 10.20am. met heidi and anne there. edmund joined us as we walked. haha. didnt notice him for a while. went to HMV to buy jason's present. went to marina square, walked around, went bowling. the girls seemed quite bored then, they were like, concentrating more on talking on their handphones... i can't say i wasn't a bit bored too... heheh. jason joined us just as it was his turn... after playing 2 rounds, at 1pm, we went to get our movie tickets. wanted to watch final call, but it was nc16 and the guy wanted to see all our ics... so in the end, got tickets for flushed away. after buying the tickets, went to mac's for lunch. had a mcflurry and a large fries again.... we bought two mcflurrys and drinks for the girls, but they didnt want.... =.= so in the end we ate them. the girls just took the drinks. after that, we were feeling cold, so went outside for a while. later, went back in, went to the arcade. raced a bit, then played some army thing with dickson and jason. was the last man standing. haha. after that, played more racing and then watched jason play some drum game. still had about 2 bucks left, so played house of the dead with dickson. played till trigger finger pain. haha. was damn nice. after that, we went to meet the girls(who had gone to toilet) and went to the cinema. on the way, met don and gerald and a few other st pats boys at the bowling alley. we didnt want to eat anything, so didnt get any popcorn. the show was damn funny and nice. i'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars for the funny plot. haha. after the show, went to toilet, then went to the bus stop just outside of suntec to send them off. they took 36, cos they wanted to go to parkway. were amusing ourselves by listening to songs and stuff while waiting for the bus. after the girls left, went inside suntec to eat tea at gelare. had a waffle with ice cream. while we were eating, we were making more lame jokes and talking about someone we commonly dislike... haha... damn funny. after that, at about 6.10pm, left for home. took the nel with dickson. came back at about 6.50pm. gotta admit, wasn't in a very good mood at that time. ate dinner, then left for chinese tuition at 7.20pm. was quite tired. slept a bit during tuition. heheh. came back at 9.10pm. watched tv, then now blogging. will be going to sleep soon. got to go for np training tmrw. in all, i think that this outing was ok, i'd give it a 2.5 out of 5 rating. a marginal pass.... the girls were like, damn quiet, and we guys were like, didn't know what to say and do.... wished that the day had gone better.

today woke up at around 7am... used the com for a while, then got ready and left for sch. reached there at around 9am. amused oursleves with the lame jokes and tricks while waiting for the tchrs. when they came, went to the brothers' quarters to pick up the posters and stuff for the open house. after that, went to LT1 to pack the goodie bags for the parents who will be coming this friday. when we finished, the place was in a mess. mr chng said,"guys, thanks for packing the bags fast, but no thanks for the mess." haha... the mess was due to quite a number of ppl playing about(i cant say i wasnt also)... haha.... anw, cleared up the mess, settled a few things for the grad night this thursday, then went with dickson and fredric to downtown east to swim. when we reached there, we had a light lunch at mac's consisting of an apple pie and a large fries. we shared the fries. we all consumed about 7 packets of mayo with just the one large fries. haha... after that, we went to change and then went upstairs to the pool. the sun was scorching. forgot to bring sunblock, but nvm, didnt mind getting sunburn... haha... about halfway through the swim, a crane crashed in a nearby construction site. the thing was like, flipped over, then it collapsed on it's side. everybody soo k-po and rushed to the side of the building to see the commotion. disgusting. like flies attracted to garbage. dickson, fredric and i stayed in the pool. dickson was so sad... haha... he said he should have taken a video and then sold it to the newspapers... haha... cheered him up by saying,"look on the bright side. at least now the pool is almost empty." haha... had quite a free pool for about 10mins. after about 2 hours of swimming, got dark clouds, so went downstairs to bathe and change. when we came out of the toilet, it was raining heavily. went to the food court there and ate a bit of a tea. after that, about 5pm, we left the place. took bus 3 with dickson and fredric to punggol mrt station(dickson dropped off a few stops befor), where fredric waited for a bus to go to hougang. took mrt back home. by the time reached back home was about 6.10pm. read a bit, slept a bit, then at 7.15pm, ate dinner. after that, watched tv. tmrw got another outing with the YCIA friends. meeting them at city hall mrt station at 11am. dunno whether i should go or not. but it's jason's birthday. i think i'll go. gonna meet dickson early then we go get him a present. sigh.

wow... just came back... today went for another YCIA trip... in the morning woke up at 6.35am... then walked the dog and got ready. reached marine parade at 7.55am. met edmund and dickson. went to pp mac's... about 8.10am, su fern, heidi and anne came... had breakfast(milo), then at 8.55am, we walked to marine parade NPC. went toilet :D then took bus to the twin towers(MHA: Ministry of Home Affairs) at novena there. went through a talk about the history of the police force and the heritage tour, then at around 12pm, went to the cantonment CNB HQ. went to the briefing room and had a lecture about drugs in singapore and the stuff that the CNB does... after that, we had a catered lunch at the atrium and ate at the briefing room... then took bus back to marine parade NPC. by the time we reached there was 2pm. haha. edmund's left shoe's sole almost totally came out, except for the front... had to lend him my scotch tape to tape up his sole... hahaha! was damn funny! then went to parkway with heidi, su fern, anne, dickson, jason and edmund.... the KC girls kept meeting their friends there=.=... haha... even one of the waitresses in swensens was their friend... went to swensens and ate ice cream there... talked for quite long, until about 3 plus... after that, went walking around the mall, first to bata(to get edmund a new pair of slippers), then roamed around the place(su fern left at bata)... then, we started playing at the travelators, running in the opposite direction, like a treadmill... after that, went to MPH to get dickson some books. at MPH, we took a group photo, an asked a caucasian lady to take it for us... dickson was like,"excuse me, can you help us take a photo?" then the woman went,"pardon? can you speak english?" haha.... like as though he wasn't already... so dickson said,"photograph?" then she finally understood and said,"oh, alright." was damn funny... after that, the woman didnt know how to use the camera, cos had to press for about 3 secs, and she only pressed for about one sec... she didnt understand what we were telling her, until jason said, in a british slang,"excuse me, you have to hold the button for around three to five seconds." then she understood. hahaha... at 4.40pm, went to treat the girls bubbletea(anne wanted to treat us, but in the end we treated them...)... haha... after that, at around 4.50pm, we separated and took bus home... took a 48 to little india with dickson, then took NEL to home. will be going for tuition soon at 7.20pm. new maid will be coming today! haha... that means that today will be the last time i mop the floor, water the plants, wash the cloths, was the plates, wash the toilets, make my bed and other stuff for the time being... haha... very tired... i think i'll rest for a while before going for tuition... cyaz....

went for the Youth Community Invovlement Ambassador(YCIA) camp yesterday... was quite fun. CHIJ KC, TKSS, CCHMS and TKS also came for the camp. anw,

first day:
woke up at 6am. took bus to Marine Parade. reached there at 7.30am. had breakfast(prata) woth edmund at blk 57, while waiting for dickson and jason. at 8.10am, we went to the marine parade NPC. met clement from TKS there. after that, met the groups from the other schs, then took bus to the aloha changi chalets. reached there, took a group photo, then went straight for an intro to the camp, then played games like denwa bango, diamond maze(each group had to go through a diamond shape figure without letting it fall over...), turning point(each group had to stand on a mat and turn it totally over). the diamond maze was quite thrilling... haha... we were all thinking ridiculous ways to go through it, and in the end, we used chairs to go through, to help us.... then there was also the blindfold square(where everybody was given time to plan, then all are blindfolded and have to form 2 quares and both quares must overlap at least 25%... the thing that was emphasizes most during the camp was that teamwork and communication is essential for any group to perform. after the games, we had dinner, a BBQ and some catered food... we st pats guys mixed around with the kc hirls the most.... during dinner time, su fern found a dead bee in the girls' room, and didnt want to touch it, so called us to throw it away... went in, threw the bee away, then as we came out, kitman scolded us for going inside the girls' room... she was scared that some bio thingy would happen... after the dinner, we had some lectures by some representative from the ICA(Immigrations and Checkpoints Authority), the NEA(National Environment Agency) and the civil defence. during the talks, the were a few bees flyiong round... haha... most of the girls were scared and kept running away from them... haha.... jason and dickson and a few other pple were the 'killers' of the night... they were competing to see who could kill the most bees... haha... after the talks, we went for supper, then watched castaway on channel 5. clement was damn funny all the way... he was getting damn hyper.... haha.... after the show, at 12.30am, we went back to our rooms, where we bathed, lazed around and talked cock. clement dragged his bed into our room(i shared room with dickson, edmund and jason, all of us from st pats...), and said that he wanted to sleep with us... then when kitman came in, we tau pok-ed clement, while she took a video... first time, she didnt start filming when we started, so we did again on clement... haha... after that, clement shouted to tau pok edmund, and we did.... haha... was damn funny... after all the tau pok-ing, we went out to play bluff and blackjack with the kc girls... the kc girls were damn fun to talk to... stopped playing at around 2.45am, went to the room to talk again... drifted off to sleep at 3am.

second day:
woke up at around 8.30am... woke up to edmund shouting that someone wanted to see me and was waititng downstairs... went out of the room to see anne smiling away... knew at that moment that edmund had betrayed some sensitive information.... anw, after that, went to bathe and pack. later, at 9, went downstairs. kitman then told us to go up and pack.... -.-" went up, tidied up the place, lay down again, then went back down... after breakfast played double whacko and did the friendship dance with everybody... changed paryners after every round... lyrics went like: ' as we walk to the left, as we walk to the right, as we walk, as we walk, as we walk all night, with a heel and a toe, and a half turn 'round, with a heel and a toe, with a new friend found.'... we stood in a circle and changed partners everytime we spun round. later, took the bus back to the marine parade NPC. took our goodie bags then were dismissed... gonna meet up again on tues for the CID(Criminal Investigations Department) and CNB(Central Narcotics Bureau) trip... hope that there will be more YCIA trips and camps.... loved the camp. after dismissal, waited for my mum at the bus stop, then went out with my family to eat. came back, then rested a while, then left for a maths tuition. came back from tuition at 5.30pm... now watching the apprentice... will be sleeping soon... haha.. cyaz... pleasant dreams :D

yeah! just came back from the Patrician Leadership Training Camp(PLTC) yesterday... was the first camp i facilitated in... was very fun.. wish it had lasted longer... haha...


Tuesday - Day 1
reported at 6.30am... waited for participants to arrive... at 7.30am, started to check them in. my group was Canice. Great group... haha... after that, had the ice breakers. conducted it with Ben Lo. played murderer, whacko, throw in a shoe, and a few other games... the group i was in charge of consisted of Jeremy Chow, Bryan Sng, Jitesh, Don, Andrew Sin, Clint Tan and Desmond. at 9am, had quite an interesting talk on public speaking by mdm sim(we facils already heard it last year when we were participants in this camp...). during the lecture, the facils were briefed on the stations to go next for the Action Time and team bonding... went with my group or about halfway, then left them with Ben as i had to go for a meeting on the Open House on the 24th nov. missed the team bonding with my group, but came back in time for lunch... haha... after lunch, had a boring talk by the RGS HOD of leadership training, Mr Anselm Chu. he talked about how to be a successful leader and handling difficult students. about half the people in the LT were dozing off.... after that, had a short scolding by Cikgu Hazlian cos of the pple dozing(i was guilty of the charge)... then had a karaoke session where the facils taught the participants some songs... later, the groups had showers(the facils only bathe after the lights out for the participants, which means that we bathed at 2am). after showers, had dinner then went on to the night trail. my group did quite well, and i was quite happy with them as they showed quite a bit of teamwork and cooperation with each other(i had to lead them throught the stations as Ben was a stationmaster and had to attend to a station). we finished the night trail, then went on to have supper. supper ended, then went back to the LT for reflection. at around 11.30pm, the groups went back to the rooms to brush teeth and stuff. i conducted the group review, then at 12am, had lights out. at 12.30am, after we went around checking the rooms, the facils went for debriefing by Bro. Nicholas and the camp chief, jason chan. at 1.20am, the debriefing ended and we went off to bathe and change and stuff... most of the facils went to sleep in the facil room, but bryan yeong, daniel lian and me went to sleep with the group... we took turns taking a shower, then went to sleep in the Buckley room(i didnt want to sleep in the Canice room as they were all already sleeping and i didn't was to disturb them)(Most of Buckley was still awake)...

woke up at 6.45am, brushed teeth, washed up, then went with my group to have pt. lead Alban, Buckley and Canice on the 1.6km moring run, but ended up behind cos had to help the others along... haha... after the run, my group went to bathe. when they came back, did the morning reflection(i had Daniel to help me cos Ben lost his handphone and was searching for it)... at 9am, we were supposed to have our breakfast at the canteen, but as there were o levels going on, and the canteen is below the hall, the groups had their breakfast outside their rooms. i then left the group with Ben and went for the english supp class. ate breakfast in class(Mr Ho didnt mind...). after the class, went for another meeting with ricardo, dickson and edmuhnd about the open house. helped to do the posters for it... while i was away, the participants had a lecture on peer mediation and item preparation time... i had KFC for lunch(Ms Nura bought for us). after that, went down to the canteen for second lunch(i ate the vegetarian food as there was no more other food)... haha... ate with hands, as there was no spoons... after eating, went up to the LT for a lecture by Ms Helen Tan, our school counselor, about anger management. the whole talk was the same as last year, even the video... haha... so sat through it as a refresher course. haha... after the lecture and the karaoke session, we went for mass games, where we played, blow wind blow, ricardo says(a variant of simon says) and WATER BOMB fight! haha... we divided the groups into three teams, and they each had a 'general'. the 'general' was to be covered with newspaper as much as possible, and when the fight was over, the team with the 'general' with the dryest clothes wins. before that, when i was holding a water bomb, some idiot ran to me and burst it, making me wet... so then i got another bomb and shot at him point blank in the chest... haha... what at idiot. anw, after the fight, the participants went for a shower, then we went for dinner. after dinner, the groups went back for their item preparation, while the facils practised their own skit(i was the narrator). at 8pm, about an hour after dinner, the groups came back to the LT for the item presentation. the skits were quite good, but the facil one was the best!(i may be biased) haha... later, at around 9.30pm, went down to have supper. after supper, had reflections conducted by shao ming and daniel. they also told the participants about affirmations and stuff. after the session, i went with my group back to the room and i conducted the group review. the affirmation ended late, so by the time lights out was at 12.20am. went around to check on the groups, then had debriefing at 12.45am. after the debriefing, went to bathe. went again with bryan and daniel. after bathing and brushing teeth, did a bit of patrolling, checking the ground floor rooms, then went to sleep in the Canice room.

Thursday - Day 3
woke up at 6.45am, brushed teeth, then went with my group to the courtyard. reached there, then waited for the other groups... the groups were supposed to be there at 7.30am and wake up at 7am, but my group reached there at 7am... haha... had half an hour to wait... played the hand game, then when the groups arrived, did the pt. we did only the warm up, as there was phototaking later. after the pt, the groups went for showers and then had breakfast again outside the rooms. i sat at the benches in between Kiely and Alban block with dickson and bryan and daniel to eat. after breakfast and packing up, my group went for the phototaking. we did a whole camp one, then had individual group shots taken. after the phototaking, went to the LT for a talk on Problem solving and decision making by Bro. Nicholas. was the same talk as last year... haha... after that, had another karaoke session, then had lunch. we had lunch, then went back to the LT for another lecture on Group management and dynamics by Mr Shaheed. slept for the first part of the lecture, cos only had 4 hours last night... later, brought my group back to the room for them to pack up and everything... after arranging the tables and chairs properly, we went back to the LT for the last karaoke session and grand summary of the camp. during the grand summary, there was reflections of the past three days and recounting of experiences of the camp... a lot of pple were damn emo... a few pple cried... the bond between us was quite strong... after that, sang Passing on the Passion and All Stars. then gave out everybody's affirmations to each other, then gave out the prizes for the best camper and best group. so sad... my group Canice didn't win... was so hoping... instead, Francis won. after the prize giving, the participants were dismissed and the facils had to go for another debriefing. we went through most of the things, then left at 6pm, as the school had to be closed. will continue the debriefing on the 16th nov. by the time i got home was at 7.25pm. ate dinner, bathed, then watched tv till about 11 plus. went to sleep after that. was wishing it was 72 hours ago.... haha... all in all, PLTC was a GREAT camp!
